Background and Current Role

  • Jeff joined Inverness after serving more than 20 years in the high net worth financial services industry. Has more than 15 years investment management experience. Has worked extensively with wealthy individuals and families.
  • Most recently, Jeff served as portfolio manager and founding member of the Cleveland office of The Northern Trust Company managing $500 million of client assets. Prior to that he served as a portfolio manager in the Wealth Management Group at KeyCorp where he managed over $750 million of assets for individuals and families.
  • Jeff also served as a portfolio manager and equity analyst for Packer & Company, a private asset management firm in Perth, Australia, where he gained experience in Australian and Pacific Rim markets. He also has expertise valuing privately held business concerns.

Education

  • Received his law and masters degrees in business administration from Case Western Reserve University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Cleveland Society of Security Analysts, and is admitted to the Ohio State Bar.

Personal

  • Resides in Sharon Township, where he lives with his wife, Dr. Victoria L. van Fossen and their two children.
