Background and Current Role

  •  Howard consults with clients on estate and tax planning issues.  Working with the client's own advisors, he helps clients understand and comply with current estate plans, and can help guide clients through the complex estate planning process.  Howard also consults with clients on advanced tax strategies.  He works with Inverness' 401(k) Plans on compliance and administrative issues.  Howard also works with clients on Alternative Investment Strategies, including private placements, natural resource and real estate investments.
  • Prior to joining Inverness in 2005, Howard worked as Vice President and General Counsel, PASCO, Inc. from 1991 to 2005. He had senior management oversight for all legal, financial, accounting, human resources and administrative aspects for the company. Howard was also extensively involved with the owner’s family estate, investment and insurance planning.
  • Experienced in tax planning, qualified retirement plans and ERISA.
  • Licensed to practice law, State of Ohio
  • Partner and Associate, Hahn Loeser and Parks, Cleveland, Ohio from 1982-1991.

  • Graduate of The Ohio State University (Cum Laude, with distinction), B.A. 1976.
  • Graduate of Brown University, M.A. 1977.
  • Graduate of The University of Akron School of Law, J.D. 1982.
